Pictures, announcements, and such…

The semester has started and the craziness has begun! Before 3 weeks turns into 3 months I wanted to post and get everyone caught up with Team Barrett - Louisville edition. Many of you may not know but Ashley is pregnant - again. I know what you’re thinking, “Has she had Emma yet?” We went to the doctor last Monday and they gave us a projected due date of March 22nd, 2008. For all you math majors out there that is 3 days before Emma’s birthday and 6 days before Ashley’s. So what does 3 days plus 6 days add up to? A busy (and expensive!) month of March for Kyle for the rest of his ever lovin’ life! If anyone feels so led, any and all Barrett Birthday Donations can be sent via Paypal to kylebarrett2@gmail.com.
In all seriousness we are excited and have gotten over the initial shock of it all. God continues to provide for us and confirm that He is good to His children. We’re hoping to have some more formal family pictures taken once it cools down and the leaves change colors so stay tuned. In the meantime though…
I was laughing out loud at your post (”has she had Emma yet?”). We got the same reaction from many people when we got pregnant with Silas - the boys are only 16 months apart. You guys are both crazy, and smart, at the same time! Give it about 6-8 months after the new baby comes, and you will be sooooo glad you had them close together (we just did a post about this on our blog). Kyle, aren’t you and Patrick really close in age? I’m sure you see the benefit (in the long run) of having your kids close in age. We are excited for you guys - hey, it’s not as bad as you might think….we’re ready to have another one too!!
Congratulations!! This is so exciting–and a little overwhelming I’m sure
I loved the pictures of Emma too–she’s such a cutie pie. Are you guys going to be in FL any time soon? We’d love to see you all & catch up! We’ll be praying for a healthy & wonderful pregnancy!!
Thanks Rachel. It looks like the next time we’ll be in Florida is going to be Christmas. We tried to find a weekend to get down there but school and church responsibilities made it hard this fall. Look forward to seeing you guys then hopefully. Blogs are great to stay up on folks with but not the same as conversation over Panera or Starbucks!
I love you and miss you guys! Emma is so beautiful, and I can’t WAIT to meet her little SISTER. siiiiister. (I’m pulling for a girl. No really. I know it’s a shock.)
Congratulations to all of you! We are excited for you about #2. Can’t wait to hear more news (and maybe see a sonogram pic?!). Love you guys!
D & J
We think it’s a boy but we won’t know for sure until the next doctor’s visit which is in 2 weeks. No names yet but we have a couple in mind for a boy or a girl.
OHHHH!! So happy for you! It is a struggle when they are young, but fun as they get older! We’ll be praying for an easy pregnancy for you! Keep us posted. Love you- D
