Just a few fun pictures to show you our month thus far.

This is a baby. Why does she look so big.

Little early for the camera, but I got to say I am blessed.

Nothing like time in the closet playing in mommy stuff.

We own a tree. Yes it is fake but after three years of marriage I have a tree!!!

More to come soon. Praise to the King!!! For this time to Celebrate his birth.

Nathan is getting ready to be 5 months old next week. It is so crazy how fast time flys. He has had a fun little life so far. Born at 8lb 15 oz. Came home and lost more weight than the doctor liked so we had to suppliment  hime with formaula for a few weeks to get his weight back up. Once we were in the clear stopped the formula and he is doing great. I am so proud of this little guy. Living with three girls he and his dad are so out numbered. He has grown to love the squeezes of love from his sisters. I am so excited to see what our little bubba does next. Here are a few pics to see where he has been.

little sweet baby

please no more pictures

Look at our guy

Okay I promise I am finished. Just get caught up in how much I love these little people. God blesses me everyday. Even on the hard days….much more to come.

With all of this free time today…. I am gonna post a few things.

This is such our little “princess”. I am very careful with this word because it is not one used often in our family. You see, we were not a family with a princess until Madame Adair came out of her shell. She is a very soft and sweet little girl to those whom she does not know but at home she is a dress up, heel wearing princess! It has been such fun to watch her play with all of her different gowns.  When we get home the shoes come off and the heels go on.  This one morning was a little moody but I managed to catch a shot of her.

Sorry the shoes were not on yet. I was wrong.

It was a sad but special day on Thursday night at our house.  I no longer have a girl in a baby bed. My two sweet girls are growing up. It is such a blessing to be able to watch first hand as they learn new things every day. I am so grateful for them to call me mom.  This is a jump in the norm of Barrett life, to have just one in a crib.

FALL!!!! This is by far my favorite time of the year. I love when it gets cooler in the mornings, a little breezy, and most of all the sweaters and hot chocolate! ( Yes, I am a lover of the coco) We have had many fun mornings going out on the porch to find new leaves that the wind has left behind. The girls are very fascinated with the fun leaves. Hope you are enjoying fall as much as we are.

Here are some pictures of the kids!

Jane is not camera shy and Emma can finally pull her hair up (we were really excited)

Lyndon fair… this is one of our favorite summer outings we shared with the Abrahams

nothing like backyard fun with the family (emma loves watering)

Wow. The fair was long and fun. Our friends (Liz) and many others have encouraged me to put an update on this sweet blog. I’m sorry for my neglect. I am a wimp when it comes to this thing.

So… Happy 2009! 🙂 After the fun summer we traveled home to have some much needed family time with the Florida Barretts. Enjoyed a great visit, and the second week of January found out that we will be having a little boy in June. Nathan Scott Barrett will be an exciting addition to our family. Kyle has decided to show off his manhood of Facebook. I will be posting pictures soon of the family and girls.

A quick update on my sweet girls. Emma Jean is just under 28 months old  and to call her a “live wire” would be an understatement. She is so full of life and ready to learn every second. We have almost gotten rid of her pacifier and she talks more now than she ever has.  It is so fun to see how much she is growing from baby to child.  Jane Adair – my sweet girl. She is almost 15 months old and her sweet cuddle bug attitude is something I can’t say enough about. To see her personality come to life is just such fun.  God has overwhelmed my heart. I love these two little girls.

So Nathan Scott Barrett came on the scene June 5th 2009. He weighed in at 8lb 14oz. Yes these kids are out numbering me. We have really been having fun trying to get used to having three. It is such fun having a boy.

Thank you for waiting on us to post we love and thank each of you for your prayers for us. We love you Liz:>

For those who’ve not heard yet, the pastor of my home church and his son were killed in a plane crash early Monday morning.  The family just received word today because of the difficulty search teams had in getting to the crash site.  Please be in prayer for the Pollock family.  He and his wife Dawn had 5 other children besides Preston, all under the age of 16.  You can read more about the situation at the church’s website or at the Tampa affiliate for CBS.

I don’t care who ya’ are…

Ashley and I are huge fans of the show LOST.  I have never been hooked on a show like this before…ever.  The acting is great.  The story is great.  The scenery is great.  The show has captured my interest like no other.  Yesterday I was working and guess who walks in?  Ethan from LOST.  His name is William Mapother and he’s actually a Louisville native.  I didn’t get to meet him because I found out about his trip to our store after he left the store.  Anyways, he plays a character on the show who is part of a group of people that the stranded survivors of Oceanic Flight #815 have affectionately termed “The Others”.  If you don’t know the show, The Others are apparently the bad guys.  There’s actually alot of debate over this in the blogosphere.  It’s probably a good thing I didn’t get to meet him because I probably would have embarassed myself by acting like a middle school girl or by telling him how much I hate The Others.

My good friend Timmy Brister tells a story about his encounter with “The Others”.  Please go read it.  You’ll be glad you did.
